Lenders, other provinces’ lawyers and foreign land registries often need a signature witnessed by a notary before a deal can close. We notarize real estate documents while you wait, and, because our notaries are lawyers, we can flag anything that looks out of place before you sign.
Documents we notarize
- Mortgage and refinance documents sent by a lender or another law firm
- Transfers, deeds and land registry forms for properties in other provinces or countries
- Statutory declarations of possession, spousal status or identity
- Powers of attorney for a real estate closing
- Condominium status certificate acknowledgments and agreements of purchase and sale
- Affidavits for property in India, Pakistan and other countries (many then need an apostille or consular legalization)
Buying or selling in Ontario?
An Ontario purchase, sale or mortgage must be registered electronically through Teraview by a lawyer. Notary Point does not act as closing lawyer; Law Wise Professional Corporation, in the same office, does. We can introduce you.
Fees
Notarization from $30 per document. Ask us about a discount when you bring several documents in one visit. Drafting is available; the fee depends on the document and may involve additional charges, so please tell us what you need drafted and we will quote before any work begins.
